The -dag pattern

Five workdays, two weekend days, all lowercase, all ending in -dag. Say the whole week out loud once as one breath; it takes eight seconds and it is yours.

workdays
maandag · dinsdag · woensdag · donderdag · vrijdag
weekend
zaterdag · zondag

Small letters, big days

Dutch writes days and months without capital letters: maandag, januari. Every day ends in -dag, so you get seven words for the price of one ending. And the trap word is a gift: goedkoop is literally goed + koop, a good buy. Expensive things are duur; good deals are goedkoop. Never the other way around.

One cheap week

Seven days, one wallet, one country. Read it once for the shape. Read it again out loud, day by day.

Hear all 20, then say them back

The interactive lesson plays every word, walks the story line by line, records your voice next to a native one, and remembers the ones you find hard. Lesson 1 needs no account.

  • I can name all seven days, without capital letters
  • I can say what is expensive and what is cheap
  • I can name the first six months
  • I can give every day of my week one feeling
  • I can remember that goedkoop means cheap, a good buy

Fifty fifty. We build it. You show up.
