City places and the Dutch home

You can describe almost an entire Dutch home in ten seconds.

A camera flies from a park into a home and labels objects. Ordinary objects are the fastest route to daily fluency.

wc: say vay-say

Dutch reads the letters in its own alphabet: w is vay, c is say. Waar is de wc? is the single most useful question in this book. And know the pair: huis is the building, woning is the home you live in; woning is the word every rental site and housing office uses.

Ten seconds, one home

The interactive lesson plays every word, walks the story line by line, records your voice next to a native one, and remembers the ones you find hard. Lesson 1 needs no account.

  • I can label my whole home in Dutch
  • I can ask where the wc is, anywhere
  • I can sort home words into de and het
  • I can name the park, the forest and the Dam
  • I can give a ten-second tour of my home

Fifty fifty. We build it. You show up.
