Colours, contrasts and celebration basics

Dutch contrast is easier when everything changes shape and colour.

Objects stretch, shrink and explode into a celebration. Contrast creates instant visual anchors.

de or het?

Remember: 'het feest' is neutral, but 'de feestdag' and 'de vrije dag' are common. When in doubt, learn the article with the noun.

The same, but different

In Dutch, 'the same' changes with the noun: dezelfde for de-words, hetzelfde for het-words. It's a small trap, but you can own it: look at the noun, then choose. Practice with 'dezelfde dag' and 'hetzelfde feest'.

A grey day turns orange

It is Koningsdag. Everything changes.
