de or het?
Today's noun is 'de kleur' (the colour). It is a de-word. Many colour names are actually adjectives, but when you talk about the colour itself, you use 'de kleur'. For example: 'De kleur rood is mooi' (The colour red is beautiful).

The trap: 'nooit' is never 'niet'
In Dutch, 'nooit' already means 'never'. You do not add 'niet' after it. Say 'Ik nooit' , wait, no. You say 'Ik ga nooit naar de markt' (I never go to the market). The word 'nooit' carries the negative. So you never say 'Ik ga niet nooit'. Own it: one negative word is enough.
