All animals are de
In Dutch, almost all animals are de-words. De slang, de krokodil, de kameel, de tijger, de leeuw. No het animals today. That makes it easy. But remember: always keep the article with the noun. De slang, never slang alone.
- de
- de slang · de krokodil · de kameel · de tijger · de leeuw
- het
- (no het words today)
One word, two meanings: druk
Druk means both busy and crowded. De stad is druk = the city is busy. De trein is druk = the train is crowded. Same word, same feeling: too many people. So you learn one word and get two uses. That is the trap and the gift. Own it.
A busy day at the zoo
Today the zoo is very busy. Let's look at the animals.
