knie: say the k
English dropped the k in knee centuries ago. Dutch kept it: k-NEE, both sounds, no mercy. Same k survives in knie's neighbours knoop and knuffel. And bank the culture note: een hand geven, a firm handshake, is THE standard Dutch greeting. Now you know what to call the hand doing it.
Point before the answer
Head to toe, out loud, hands moving. Read it once for the shape. Then again, pointing at every part you name.
