Asking, pointing and connecting ideas

Ask and answer in pairs
Dutch pairs its question words with their answers. Ask with waarom, answer with daarom. Ask with waar, answer with hier or daar. Learn them two at a time and the work halves.
- ask
- waarom · waar · wanneer
- answer
- daarom · hier, daar · dan, toen
The w that leans on v
wie, wat, waar, wanneer and waarom all open with a Dutch w, which sits somewhere between an English v and w. Your English w will be understood every time, so do not let it stop you. Just start listening for the difference.
One flower, eight questions
Somebody left a flower at Noor's door and she wants answers. Read it once for the shape. Read it again out loud.
