1,4 miljard mensen tellen?! Rick gaat al gek van z'n buren (Rick, Pieter &

Hello and welcome to Dutch Dialogues by Dutch Fluency.

I'm Rick, here with Peter and Lisa, and today we're diving into something that might seem

a bit technical, but it's actually pretty important.

We found an interesting new story about how websites work, and honestly, it's more interesting

than it sounds.

Let's see what these three have to say about it.

Neymar Sirius, Muthyohore.

India began to grow to the folk-stelling terweir old.

Really?

What do you mean exactly?

Well, they all tell people in India, all people.

Okay, but that makes the country even crazier.

Yes, but this is India, Lisa.

They have more than 1.4 billion people.

Wow, how do you do that actually?

No idea.

I'm going to go to my flat building here, 20 people.

You're going to go from your desk, Rick.

That's right.

But 1.4 billion?

No, yo.

When is the last time they did this?

I don't know exactly.

But it was long ago because corona was a problem.

Ah, so they've been waiting for a long time.

Yes, exactly.

Very long.

And now they're doing it finally.

How do they tell that?

With a app or something?

A app?

Good question.

I think people with paper and pen.

No, that can't do that.

So many people?

Yes, I don't know either.

But it's very bizarre, don't you think?

Yes, very bizarre.

How many people work there?

No idea.

Million probably?

I'm on NOS, but there's not much more.

Rick has read the entire NOS.

And now.

And the BBC.

And...

Stop.

Haha.

Typical.

No, but seriously, it's interesting.

Tell you.

You work at the next station.

Okay, and...

You go to a village.

There are thousands of people.

But no one knows exactly how much.

That's a bit funny, yes.

But why does it actually do that?

For the overheat.

They want to know how many people are.

School, ziekehuisen, that kind of thing.

Ah, I understand.

That's logical, actually.

Yes, that's practically.

Good idea.

See?

Lisa says it's a good idea.

I said that it's logical.

That's something else.

Haha.

Okay, okay.

Does she do this in the Netherlands as well?

Yes, but the Netherlands has 17 million people.

That's something else than 1.4 billion.

17 million is a lot more.

Yes, but 1.4 billion Lisa.

That's almost a hundred times more people.

Wow.

If you say it like that.

Exactly.

And they don't live in Amsterdam at all.

Haha.

No, I don't think so.

How many languages do they speak there?

A lot?

A lot.

More than 20 big languages, I think.

And then you have to ask each one a question?

Yes, in which language?

That's a good point.

Hmm, that's inardate.

The comments on new.nl are even worse.

Someone says, in the Netherlands this is also too long.

Haha.

Of course, someone says that.

Typical.

Typical Dutch.

India tells 1.4 billion people.

And we explain about our own formula.

Haha.

Yes, exactly.

Well, yes.

That's right.

I also trust you.

You complain about your goals.

And about the news.

And about the comments on the news.

Haha.

But you read it every day.

Yes, because otherwise I don't know.

Someone has to do it.

Help.

Really help.

Thank you.

Does anyone want coffee?

Yes, please.

You're the third one.

The second one.

Maybe third one.

How about India?

India is bizarre.

Yes, I think so.
