Van "ik ben een appel" naar "ik ben een banaan"
About
I'm Rick. I create Dutch learning content for every level.
From The Hague, currently living in Asia. Podcasts from A1 to B1, full transcripts, weekly exercises, themed dialogues, and interactive tools. All designed to make practice feel natural.
The reason Dutch Fluency exists is personal. When I was learning Thai, I couldn't find what I actually wanted: innovative and fun tools from a real person. Most platforms had one or the other. So I built what I wished had existed, but for Dutch learners.
I create everything from Asia. The distance actually helps. You think differently about a language when you're building from 9,000 km away. No classroom walls, no textbook curriculum. Just what actually helps people speak Dutch.
I've been doing this for a while now. The content is mostly free because that's how I wanted to do it. Give first, let people decide if they want more.
I want to be the one notification that never stresses you out. Thanks for being here.

Tired of being an appel?
Become a banaan.
No weird sentences. No guilt-tripping owl. Just real Dutch, made by a real person who actually wants you to learn this beautiful, chaotic language.
How I think about learning
No motivation tricks. No vague promises. Just Dutch, daily, at your level.
You practice, you progress, you eventually stop panicking when your Dutch colleague walks over.
That's the goal.
Progress > perfection
Making mistakes means you're trying. That's the whole point.
Consistency > intensity
10 minutes a day beats 2 hours once a month. Every time.
Give first
Podcasts, transcripts, exercises. Free because learning should be accessible.
