What is the Dutch Fluency reading method?
A step-by-step way to learn to read Dutch. Five books introduce the Dutch sounds one at a time, a colour code shows them in every word, and the stories only use words you have already practised.
Which levels does it cover?
From absolute beginner (Pre-A1) to A2+. Books 1 to 4 cover every Dutch vowel sound and the special combinations. Book 5 is for readers who want to stretch their Dutch with rare, rich words.
How does the reading code work?
The sound of the chapter is red on yellow. The silent e, which sounds like a short "uh", is purple with a dotted line. From Book 2, an n you barely hear at the end of a word is grey and struck through. You can switch the code off at any time.
Can I try it for free?
Yes. Chapter 1 of Book 1 works without an account. With a free account you can read all of Book 1.
