Plan a Dutch tutoring budget

How Much Does a Dutch Tutor Cost?

Dutch tutor costs depend on the rate you find, how often you meet and how many teaching weeks you plan each month. Enter your own market rate below for a tutor-only estimate, then compare the structure and support that different learning formats provide.

Estimate your tutor-only cost

Use the hourly rate shown by the tutor or provider you are considering. Change every example input to match your own plan.

The starting values are editable examples, not a claim about every tutor or marketplace. The yearly estimate uses 12 months.

How the estimate is calculated

Monthly tutor cost equals hourly rate multiplied by lessons per week and teaching weeks per month. The yearly estimate multiplies that monthly result by 12. It is a planning estimate, not a quote, and does not add materials, cancellations or other provider-specific costs.

Cost is only one part of the choice

Compare what you receive as well as the total. A lower monthly number may still require you to organise practice, feedback and progression separately.

Tutor marketplaces

Marketplaces help you compare independent tutors, schedules and teaching styles. Rates and the structure between lessons depend on the tutor you choose.

Self-study subscriptions

Subscriptions can provide repeatable practice on your own schedule. Check whether the content is Dutch-specific and whether human feedback is included or separate.

Dutch coaching

Coaching can focus live support on a particular goal, gap or accountability need. Review the current coaching page for the format and availability.

Formal courses

A formal course can provide a fixed timetable, classmates and an institutional setting. Schedules, entry requirements and support vary by school.

Choose support from your actual Dutch level

Start with the assessment to identify your current level and the skills that need attention. If live feedback is already the priority, review coaching as a separate option.
