How this verb works
- Regular verb. The stem is paar. The infinitive paren has r before -en, which is not in 't kofschip (t, k, f, s, ch, p), so the past tense takes -de (paarde, paarden) and the participle ends in -d (gepaard).
- When jij comes after the verb, the -t drops: jij paart, but paar jij?
