Welcome to Dutch Fluency. By using our website, apps, podcasts, or services, you agree to these terms. I've written them in plain language because legal jargon helps nobody. Laten we beginnen.
1. What Dutch Fluency is
Dutch Fluency is a language learning platform offering podcasts, interactive apps (Dagboek, Fluency Tulip, Fluency Skills, DFL Methode, Fluency Email), coaching, bootcamps, and personalized podcasts. Some features are free, others require a paid subscription.
2. Accounts

3. Subscriptions & payments
Pro and its free week
Pro starts with a free trial: 7 days on the yearly plan, 3 days on the monthly plan. We charge your card when the trial ends, then every year (or every month on the monthly plan) until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you pay nothing. The free trial is once per person. Members on Weekly or a pass keep their plan until it ends.
What Pro includes, and its limits
- Talking with Rick: 20 minutes a week, counted from Monday. Unused minutes do not carry over. A top-up adds 60 minutes for €9, can be bought once your trial has ended, is used after the week's minutes and never expires.
- Chatting with Rick: no daily limit, within fair use.
- Jouw Podcast: one new episode a week, at most 4 a calendar month. Daily episodes, with the episode video, are a separate add-on for €9 a month that you can cancel anytime.
- Mock exams: 20 a month. An exam pack adds 10 exams for €5, is one payment and never expires.
- Pro Family: €249 a year for up to 6 people, you and the people you invite. They have Pro while your Family plan runs. The talking minutes stay with you.
- October 2026: a Pro trial started before 1 November includes one free 15-minute intro with Rick, once per person.
Billing
Abonelikler Stripe üzerinden faturalandırılır. Fiyatlar avro (EUR) cinsindendir.
İptal
Haftalık planı veya bir aboneliği istediğin zaman kontrol panelinden iptal edebilirsin. Ödediğin dönemin sonuna kadar erişimin devam eder. İptal ücreti yoktur. Geçişler asla yenilenmez, dolayısıyla iptal edilecek bir şey yoktur.
Refunds
Ödemeler iade edilmez; kullanılmayan haftalar ya da bir dönemin kullanılmayan kısmı için de iade yapılmaz. AB cayma hakkı: AB'de tüketici olarak, çevrimiçi bir satın alımdan normalde 14 gün içinde cayabilirsin. Ödemeden hemen sonra dijital içeriğimize tam erişim alırsın ve bunu ödeme sırasında kabul edersin; bu nedenle cayma hakkı erişimin başladığı anda sona erer. Bizden kaynaklanan bir sorun olursa Rick'e e-posta yaz, birlikte çözelim.
Koçluk seansları
Koçluk paketleri (5, 10 veya 20 seans) tek seferlik satın alımlardır. Seanslar son kullanma tarihi olmaz. Seansları en az 24 saat önceden yeniden planla.
4. Your content
Anything you create using our apps — diary entries, pronunciation recordings, exercise answers — belongs to you. We store it to provide the service but we don't own it, don't share it, and don't use it for marketing.
For Jouw Podcast and Dagboek Podcast subscribers on "Open" plans: your podcast episodes are published on public podcast platforms. By choosing an Open plan, you agree to this. If you want privacy, choose a Privé plan instead.
5. Our content
All Dutch Fluency content — podcasts, exercises, reading materials, stories, apps, blog posts, brand assets — is owned by Dutch Fluency. You can use it for personal learning but you can't redistribute, resell, or repurpose it commercially without permission.
6. Acceptable use

- × Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content
- × Use our apps for anything other than learning Dutch
- × Attempt to hack, overload, or disrupt our services
- × Submit offensive or illegal content through our apps
Basically: use Dutch Fluency to learn Dutch. That's what it's for. Logisch, toch?
7. Availability
We do our best to keep everything running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Things break sometimes. When they do, we fix them as fast as we can. We're a small team that cares, not a faceless corporation.
8. Limitation of liability
Dutch Fluency is a language learning platform, not a certified educational institution. We can't guarantee specific exam results, fluency levels, or career outcomes. What we can promise is that we put genuine effort into making the best apps possible.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dutch Fluency's liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email. Continuing to use Dutch Fluency after changes means you accept the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law (how fitting). Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
